Please email me if you have any queries

As a parent, you want to ensure that your child receives the best care at all times.

With more than 30 years of experience as a children's doctor I can provide expert medical advice, and care, for your child's health, well being and development.

As a private patient I can assess your baby child or adolescent promptly and at a convenient time, in a child-centred environment.

I am based in Harley Street and my clinics are conveniently located in central London at two world-renowned institutions the Portland Hospital and the Cromwell Hospital.

More Information

How much does it cost to see a paediatrician?

Standard 45min first Consultation *
£300
Standard 30min follow-up Consultation *
£250
Vaccination only (no Consultation) **
£150

My professional fee is based on the time I spend, before, during and after a consultation.

My fee does not include the cost of tests, prescriptions or vaccines - which you will need to settle directly with the Hospital or Pharmacy.

For more information please visit the 'Fees' page.

* A prolonged or complex consultation, or one which necessitates additional work before or after the consultation, may incur an extra charge of £25-£75 (and in exceptional cases more than this). ** A new patient appointment is usually required for the first vaccionation. A lower fee is charged for subsequent vaccinations, if there is no consultation.

Where are your locations and clinic days?

Clinics are held Tuesday morning at the Cromwell Hospital and Tuesday afternoon at the Portland Hospital

Can I make a self-referral to see a doctor?

If you do not have a GP, or do not wish to be referred via your GP, I can usually meet you.

Just email or telephone to make an appointment.

Referral from a GP is best, especially if your child has already met other specialists

Can I use health insurance to see a children's doctor?

Children are often included in health policies

I am recognised by most insurance companies - so please ask your insurer if your child is covered

  • AXA PPP
  • Aetna
  • Aviva
  • Allianz
  • BUPA, BUPA International
  • CIGNA, CIGNA International & Global
  • CS Healthcare
  • Exeter Family Friendly
  • Healix
  • HTH, Geo-Blue
  • Simply Health
  • WPA

What happens before and after a paediatric appointment?

Before we meet please email a brief description of your child's problem

In order to keep to time, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment, as you will need to complete a registration form

We provide longer appointments than many others so as to give enough time to explore your concerns. Standard new patient appointments are 45 minutes, but a complex consultation may require an hour

I will listen to you, examine your child, and then discuss my diagnosis and management plan

I will email a letter to you with a record of what we have discussed and send a copy to your General Practitioner (GP)

Following an appointment I may ask you to keep me updated by email

What about children's medical tests and prescriptions?

Blood tests, X-Ray, ultrasound and other tests can be undertaken on site, and the results will be emailed to you

Private prescriptions can be dispensed on site, or sent to your home using a next day courier service

My professional fee does not include these costs, which you will need to settle directly with the Hospital or Pharmacy

Do you offer 6 week, well-baby, infant and pre‑school checks‑ups?

We offer a full range of servives, so if you are looking for a 6 week check or general check-up (health ‘MOT’) please send an email

If you are seeking reassurance, or looking for a more detailed explanation of your child's condition, I am here to help

Do you offer video consultations or home visits?

Physical examination of children is important and sometimes vital, so I don't recommend a video consultation for a first appointment unless you are only seeking advice

Video works well for some follow up consultations

At present, I do not undertake home visits

Do you offer childhood vaccinations?

We can undertake USA European UK and other immunisation schedules, as well as adminsiter BCG, Varicella (Chickenpox) and travel vaccines

If your child has been vaccinated in more than one country or has missed doses, we can look at their record and offer advice

What should I do in an emergency?

If your child urgently need medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation contact NHS 111 or your nearest Accident & Emergency Department. For immediate, life-threatening emergencies, call the 999 service.
